When Catherine (aka Millie) and Kevin first contacted us she talked about their love for Ireland and Guinness, how she’s half Irish and always wanted to visit. So when Kevin proposed they instantly thought of Ireland, specifically, the stunning Cliffs of Moher.
Catherine and Kevin flew from sunny California to have their dream elopement on the Cliffs of Moher, but first, they wanted to have their first look at the stunning surfer’s beach on the grounds of Trump International in Doonbeg.
Catherine had planned everything down to a t, she incorporated the colour green in all her details, starting from her amazing Manolo Blahnik in the Irish colour, to her stunning emerald earings and Kevins tie. It was a rainy and windy morning but soon the sun made an appearance and there were smiles all around the room. Catherine met Kevin at surfers beach for a beautiful first look, being a practical Californian she quickly removed her Manolos and walked barefoot through the sand and Manolos in hand. After their first look, we made our 1 hour trip to the Cliffs of Moher where a heartfelt ceremony awaited. But first, Kevin collected sand from Doonbeg for a sand pouring ceremony to mix with the sand they brought from California, their home.
Kevin, as we learnt during the morning preparations, is a history lover and very into ironing (Catherine is a lucky girl). So it was suited that for her vows, Catherine would promise to put up with all the valuable history lessons Kevin loves to give during every long car trip. In turn, Kevin promised to continue to stop and get takeout and to constantly plan little adventures together.
Catherine decided to channel her Celtic side and incorporate a beautiful cape that also came in handy in the windy Cliffs of Moher. This was an amazing day and one we are so proud to have witnessed. Catherine and Kevin told us about their love for DIY movies telling their adventures and that they would record their trip to Irelan, England, and Scotland. Stay until the end to see their adventure from California to Ireland for their dream Elopement.
